Moving Day

Well, since I can't keep anything inside I figured I will spill the beans too everone who reads our family blog. We will be moving in the middle of June. I am so excited to be closer to family but really sad to leave our first home and ward and my girl scout troop. This is the longest Devin and I have lived in one place in the last 11 1/2 years we have been married. Crazy I know.
Devin is going to finally do it get his plumbing lisence, And start up our own company. I am scared to death. I am not one person too jump into anything with out thinking it threw alot. And I have been thinking it over for the past few years and I am ready scared but ready. I pray that everything will go our way and we will have a better future for our kids. Life has been so crazy the past two christmas' devin loosing his job too the lack of his owners wanting to work near the holidays and well that means devin gets let go. With no warning. SO we are tired of him doing all the work and them getting all the good stuff. So we are going to start a company and try to learn from the mistakes that his ex-bosses made and make our lives better. Long journey ahead. But should be worth it.

My dad is graciously letting us stay in his home in mesa for the next year so we can get things situated and then we can get a home of our own again, and let our kids restart their lives. I pray that we are doing the right thing. I know that they miss thier cousins and grandparents. But we will miss all the great friends that we have made here in Florence.

Outback Dinner

Last night we decided since Devin had done a side job and the right thing to do would be to pay off debt, we would do the Harris thing and do out too dinner. HAHAHAHAHA at the best place in town. Well the second best place, Melting Pot #1. And Devin invited his parents to go along and of course they couldn't resist passing up an opportunity too see their grand kids they came too. Was nice to sit down and enjoy a meal as a family and not have to cook or clean up. And not too mention wonderful. Since Devin isn't a photo loving man he always has to put his two sense in where it isn't needed this is our best shot together. But that is us. Crazy love birds, HAHAHAHA.

Wonderful Daddy

Wonderful Daddy

Sunday morning I had to take Aeden to urgent care. He had a fever that wouldn't break. Plus his soft spot was bubbled up. Mom is a worry wart. But by the time I got there he was smiling and happy and needless too say they sent me home telling me too keep giving him Tylenol and then Motrin. Wish there was a Dr. that would come too your home and do all that stuff so you don't have to drive an hour just too be sent home.
Well let me tell you what a wonderful Daddy my five kids have. To Taylor, Devin walks on water and can move walls. She has him wrapped around her little finger. I guess I was the same way, but anyway the pictures say it all. I came home too Taylor playing Hair Salon. Devin has been growing his hair out for me. (He hates it) So now she can put pony tails in and comb it and just well be a little girl. We don't see that very often she is our 5Th boy. But, wouldn't have it any other way. It has now been a couple of hours and he still hasn't taken the cool due out. He ate lunch that way and is now taking a nap. He looks very funny. But, that shows how proud he is of his little girl. She did a great job and he wants her too know that. Mom just laughs when I look at it. But he amazes me everyday and I would love to have 1/2 the patience that he has with our kids. Thank you Devin for your guidance, I love that in you.

Family Hiking

Boyce Thompson Arboretum

On Saturday for girl Scouts. We took 6 out of ten girls on a fun filled day too Boyce Thompson near Superior. We left Magic Ranch around 9:30am and got there about 10am. Nice short drive. We walked around for a couple of hours then headed to picnic area and eat then at 1pm we headed to the Junior Girl Scout class. But turned out it was scheduled wrong and it was for brownies. But the girls still enjoyed it. Even Calvin got too pass stuff off for Cub Scouts. Two birds with one stone. Anyways, the hike was fairly easy and the weather was beautiful. When you actually slow down and read the signs there are actually very interesting plants there. Have a chocolate mint plant and it actually smells like chocolate. Anyways when you get the chance go visit the Arboretum, cheap family activity.

Weekend Fun

Wow, I really don't like the heat. And not looking forward too June-August. So our wonderful friends Kevin and Patricia, have this wonderful pool and Jacquzzi (heated I might add) anyways, they had a BBQ-Pool party and invited us out for some fun. Well it was. There was 17 kids there and 5 adults need I say more. I was a complete wreck, Major worry wort. But everything went great. No sun burns, thank goodness for sunblock and only 80 degrees out. Food was great as usual and great company. We love the Stradlings been great friends for a long time, and hopefully many more too come. We love you guys.

Anyway, Taylor- was little mom MAJOR help playing with Daxton and just loves the water. (very much like her father, part fish).
Calvin- just played and played and played, also part fish. Got out too eat and then back in forget the whole 30 minute rule.
Tayton- once again constantly haves to go POTTY when we swim. Kid needs to stop swallowing water. But so cute when he says, MOM I have to go Potty AGAIN. hahahaha
Daxton- Wasn't sure of the water at first, but once he warmed up too it, no stopping him. He couldn't get enough of it. He got curious once he saw the older kids jumping off waterfall. So dad started off small, the side of the pool. It was all down hill from there. He is now jumping off the waterfall. Very cute. But just like his older brothers and Sister doing fun stuff at young ages. Gotta love the no fear factor.
And Aeden- Well too windy for mom so he didn't get in the water. Mean mom.

Two Big Events

Well once again the Harris' are busy busy busy.

Taylor had been working for the last month and a half on a report about the first female Pharaoh, Hatshepsut. Don't ask me how to saw it but Taylor sure thinks she knows. HAHAHAHAHA. Anyways, after she did her 100 note cards and poster board and report. She then had to dress the part of this lady and act as a wax statue for all the parents to come and see their museum. It was the Eduprize 1st annual wax museum. She did awesome. I was so proud of Taylor. Her Teacher Mrs. Ross, would go up too the students and tap them on the shoulder and then they would come too life and say their speech. Basically telling everyone about themselves. It was really cool to watch all these 5th and 6th grades, I was very impressed.

Then Last night was Calvin's 2nd annual Pinewood Derby Race. Last year he got 2nd place and well he didn't show it was so excited. (but that is Calvin Mr. excitement, NOT) But well he did have a really cool looking car but he didn't win more than one race. Poor guy. But he still had fun. I think dad was more upset than Calvin. Dad tries to make the car the coolest looking but the fastest, But yes Dad is very talented. Next year maybe he will try and make it cool and fast. HAHAHAHA. Mom had to remind Grandpa also that it was just for fun and too calm down. But everyone had a good time and we always have next year to get first place.

Both Dad and Mom are so very proud of our kids. We can't believe that they are getting so big and old. Well more old than big, hahahahhaha.

Little Boys Tantrums

Wow, I am getting to frustrated with whining boys. No matter what I do if I give them their way they still whine if I don't I still hear it. I need too hear from you super moms what is the trick. I love my son to death but I am going bonkers. He is a completely different kid for me than everyone else. And I am not sure what to do with him. And you all know which one I am talking about (Tayton). He is the sweetest but the rottenest one I have. He knows exactly what buttons too push and when. I have to leave the room and count hahahaha before I react.

Do they ever grow out of tantrums? Plese say yes.

Easter

Wow, So love the Holiday's but so excited when they are done and over. Make very long days. Heading from one parent too the next. But the kids love too see all their cousins and the Grandparents.

This Easter we started off Saturday at noon at Devin's parents in Mesa. The kids colored eggs, then dads hid them, then they went in the backyard too find them. That was really funny to watch the kids were able to find four eggs, but surprise surprise, dads hid them so hard that they even forgot where they were. They had to trace their steps. They even camouflaged some of them. For the older girls. Then they played some games for some cool prizes. Very funny too watch I might add. Then back inside too eat lunch and then relax.

Then at four we headed to Grandpa and Grandpa Dee's (hahahaha) Easter Party. We basically did the same thing. But at a park near Kasandra's. The kids were loving the park. Devin had two girls fall in love with him. Maci and Morgan (Geoff's girls) let him push them on the swings for probubly half and hour or so. Maci was so sad when he took them off. She didn't care that it was time to find the eggs she was having such a relaxing time. Was so addorable. The moms hid the eggs, we made it alittle too easy I think. But too many little kids. Out of 25 kids The oldest was 12 and the youngest was 1 Little Brodie. But he was more interested in the basketball. CUTE CUTE. Then Grandma gave out the Easter stuffed animals. All five got new bunnies this year, and Tayton can't get over the fact that Daxton got the same bunny that Tayton got last year. Crazy Crazy. He can't stop telling everyone.

Then we headed on that long journey home, good old Florence. Man can't wait too move back closer too family. Well that was our wonderful Easter. Hope everyone had a wonderful day and Remembered what the real reason we celebrate Easter.
