Happy Halloween 2008

we went too mine and Devin's parents ward trunk or treat. They had a dinner, games and candy. They kids really enjoyed themselves. It felt like a reunion, about 6 or 7 families that we grew up with in our old ward came back just like us and celebrated Halloween with their parents. So we were able to mingle and catch up on old times and compare kids.

Daxton Preschool Halloween Parade

Daxton goes to a special Ed Preschool near our home for speech. About 8 months ago Daxton wasn't speaking at all. His 3rd birthday is next week.
Now, he is starting to say 2 and 3 word sentences. I know you are thinking weee, but for him that is amazing for what he was saying just 8 months ago he has done a 180. Well lack of saying.

Daxton and Mommy she is in the scariest costume of them all. LOL.
His School had their Halloween Parade. All the classes walked around the grass one by one and showed off their cool costumes. The teachers even dressed up. Most were very creative. Only a few didn't dress up. Daxton's teachers made their costumes they tie died them and made them into pumpkin faces. Very cute by the way.

This is his class out in front of the classroom. Very small and cute class.

Taylor 6th grade field trip

Well, I am so fundraisered out. Yesterday, Taylor brought home another fundraiser. If she wants to go to sea world in March for the 6Th grade science camp she has to either pay the $245.00 cash or sell 49 T-shirts for her fundraiser at $14.00 a piece. I am so frustrated. She really wants to go but we don't have the $245.00 and my family just helped my niece with her 8Th grade field trip to Washington D.C. so not even possible to ask them, and that trip was $1600.00. I am grateful she isn't doing that trip LOL.

I am just so frustrated with the school for doing a lame fundraiser of T-shirts. I had a hard time trying to sell cookie dough for $10.00 a pop. Well, guess she is just gonna have to go door to door in other neighborhoods because mine isn't good at fundraisers. They just slam the door in your face.

Well, If anyone is interested in helping her out, Here is the website you can check out the shirts http://rtshirts.com/

I can't believe it my middle baby is already 6. I wanna cry. He has always been the biggest pill out of all 5 kids. But since he started Kindergarten he has done a 180 and let me tell you he has become the most sweetest little boy in the world. I love it and him. Well, Today he woke up too his dad calling him to wish him a happy birthday. Then I went and picked him up for lunch and headed off to McDonald's, Imagine that. Then we took the journey to Walmart and he got too pick out cupcakes for his class. Then tonight we took him to Fudruckers and Calvin won a stuffed animal so he gave it too Tayton(how sweet) for his bday. Tayton had been trying to win a prize and couldn't seem to do it. But, never fear Tayton your BIG Brother is here. Let me tell you how much my kids do surprise me. I know that my kids love each other but as siblings do they fight and well, Tonight showed how much they really do love one another and I felt so good inside.

Love you buddy and hope that you have a wonderful day at your Party.

It's official

I am so excited, Devin just got a new calling and I think he will do awesome at it. And I think it is exactly what he needs. He is now the 1st counselor in the Young Men's. WOW. A mouthful. He is so excited about it. I told Bro. Hunsaker that he can't do anything with the youth because every time he does he gets hurt. LOL the last time he broke his collar bone. It has been a few years ago but, he keeps forgetting that he isn't a teenager again. I have to keep reminding him. I am so excited it is going to be a ton of work and responsibility but I know that he can do it and we are both so excited. And apparently there are some young men and leaders that are excited also.

Anyways, good luck Handsome and I love you and support you.

Trunk or Treat

Our Ward had a Tri-Ward Trunk or Treat tonight. They had a dinner and then the trunk or treating. They really enjoyed walking around. Daxton wasn't too sure about all the scary things. But guess it will take time to realize that it is all fake. But Calvin was a skeleton, Tayton Dark Spiderman, Daxton the Devil and Aeden of course Batman. (Taylor was with her Best friend Kamille for the weekend)

The kids had their school Fall Carnival. So this is the first year we have ever gone and it actually was really fun. There were alot of things for the kids to do and the tickets were cheaper than I thought they would be. Most rides were only 1 to 3 tickets. Which made our tickets go a long way. We had 100 tickets between our three boys. Plus the snacks like cotton candy, popcorn, soda water churro's and frozen yogurt's were also one too two tickets. So after about one hour of doing everything more than once we gave the two older boys ten tickets each and said go have fun just stay together. Within a half and hour they were back and done with all the tickets. But they had a great time. We were there for about three hours and had a great family night for only $40.00, that was really cheap let me tell you. If we went too the fair, it would have been like $300.00 and think the kids had more fun last night than they would have at the fair.

Happy Birthday Rig

Today was one of the many nephews 8th bday party. And they had it at a new bounce place. It is off of 56th street and Main in mesa. It is just north of Main on 56th street.

Let me tell you it was much cheaper than Bounce You and much bigger. And Adults are free. It has about 8 or 9 jumping things all in one room. They have big slides and small slides they have a big bus that they go into it has a tiny slide in that and other fun stuff. Kinda like a fun house. Anyways, I don't know the name of it but so worth the price. Only $5.00 a kid on Thursdays from 4-8pm. So if you need a cheaper way to entertain your kids in the summer it is perfect and indoors.

After that we headed back to Han's home and eat Pizza and cake. Was awesome glad I was a guest and not the Host. LOL. Guess I will be in a few weeks, At Tayton and Daxton's Combined Party.

First Semester Of College

I just want to say how proud I am of Devin. It has been 13 Years, Since he has graduated High School. And attempted 8 years ago to go back to school for electrical. But since he really wasn't a fan of Electrical he dropped out after a few weeks.

But nine weeks ago he started College. I gotta tell you I was very scared. School now days is not cheap and wasn't looking forward to another bill from the school that we have to pay back for not finishing. But, He stuck with it, I can Vogue it wasn't always easy for him, nor me and the kids. He works 40-60 hours a week, then comes home 5 days a week and does his assignments, then tries to spend time with me and the kids. Sometimes, well most of the time I felt like a single parent. He is a great big help when he is home and not doing school, but when he is doing school I have to try and keep it quiet for him. Good luck with that LOL.

Well anyways, I am proud of him and he starts another semester TOMORROW, Not excited about that, doesn't even get a break. Oh well sooner he gets it finished the sooner he can quit being a Commercial Plumber and be happier.

Love you Handsome Man and CONGRATS. On your A and B

Calvin's Bear

This is the family that came to support Calvin on this BIG Day.

.

Each Den performed a skit but since there wasn't enough Bears in his troop they pulled Devin and the Grandparents up too help out.

The Bear Den.

Calvin and Mom receiving his Bear, Gold and Two silver Arrow points. We are so proud of Calvin for all his hard work and in the Short amount of time. He finished his Bear in only 6 months. When most boys it takes the full year.

And this is his Den Leader, Brother Gunsolley. He has been awesome at helping Calvin's Den get things passed off. Big Thanks to him.

Look at my Savings

I just want too say check out this blog. Connie is amazing. I went off her notes and I only spent $15.00 at Fry's and Walgreen's. I didn't need any of these items right now but great idea too stock up and have them just in case. But I felt like superwoman today with everything that I got and the little that I paid.
Walgreen's, Got the Dimetapp on sale for $3.99. Then went to a site online and printed off a $2.00 coupon so I spent $4.00 on both.
Then got the Crest Toothpaste for $1.99 then in there monthly coupon book, they have a dollar off and I had a $1.00 off coupon from the Sunday paper. So spent nothing.
Then I realized I didn't get the toothbrushes so I paid and when I paid the cashier gave me a $5.00 off coupon. So I got the toothbrushes $1.99, $1.00 coupon in monthly magazine, and gave him the $5.00 coupon and he told me I had to spend at least $5.00 to use this coupon. So I grabbed the closest thing at the register got The ludens cough drops, extra gum, M & M's and toothbrushes. I only spent .95 cents
Then went to Fry's and got two Febreze They are on sale for $6.99 (at my Fry's) then had two $5.00 coupons then the Oral B toothbrush for $5.99 and a $5.00 coupon. So I spent $5.00 if felt really good. Thanks again Frank for coupons and Connie for guidance.
