Fourth Of July

Well Anther year come and gone. Crazy isn't it how when you get older time just fly's by but when you were a kid you couldn't wait till you were 8 then 12, then 16, then 18, then 21, and then you wish you were 8 again and start all over. Well, on this fourth of July We started off the day by hitting Denny's for breakfast. Since Taylor and Calvin are up north with grandparents, it was only the three boys and mom and dad. And Tayton wanted to take pictures so that is why I am in front of the camera instead of behind it. HAHAHA!!!!!!!! He did such a good job didn't even cut off any heads or other body parts. I might give him my job, maybe not that means I have to be in the pics.
Then at two we went to Kevin and Patricia's to BBQ and swim. It was fun as always, we always enjoy hanging out by the pool and laughing at our hubby's trying to perfect the flip off the waterfall. Well watching them try and get up the nerve to jump and not land on their backs. And, Kevin doing the perfect cannon ball and soak everyone, and catapult the babies out of the pool. TIDAL WAVE, HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!! Patricia's family was there too and they graciously got cupcakes for my B-Day and sang happy Birthday to me and made me blush, GOSH! Thanks everyone really appreciate it.
Then we were off to AJ High School for fireworks. This was with my two brothers, my parents and all the kids. Was a fun time too sit back and watch fireworks. First year Daxton wasn't afraid of them. Probably because brave uncle Geoff was perfecting him.

Funny story for you all, when I was less than 5 years old. My family went too Sierra Vista, AZ. To visit a family friend, and we were at the field waiting for the fireworks to start and my parents handed out cake to everyone and just as my mom finally got too sit down and relax before they started, I leaned over and said "Like my party Mom". I thought that everyone in the field was there to celebrate my birthday. Wow wish that was true could you imagine all the gifts you would get every year you wouldn't need to buy anything all year long you would be hooked up. HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!

Mall Time

Play Group at Mall

I forgot that the malls have a play time every Thursday from 10 - 11 am. I didn't really have fun but the little ones sure did. Our friend meet us there and Maliki sure wasn't shy he went right up to play the instruments. What a cutie!!!!!! Only two and he is ready to party with the big boys. Its a great place to take the little kids and did I mention it is free. Gotta love that.

Melting Pot Restaurant

Happy Birthday!

Frank, Devin and Fawn. Our birthday's are all three with in two weeks of each other, June 23rd, June 24Th and mine July 4Th. So we decided to go to the best place on earth Melting Pot Restaurant. Very expensive but so worth it. We had 3 couples come, sad that everyone else couldn't make it, maybe next time. Devin and I, Frank and Karren Harris(Devin's parents), and Kevin and Patricia Stradling. We had a fun time and well another year older, year just another day for me. HAHAHAHA

Happy Birthday Uncle Brady

Crazy to think that my kids have a great great Uncle. And we were honored to go to his surprise party. Uncle Brady just turned 80 and let me tell you he doesn't look nor act his age. My grandparents both died a long time ago and we miss them more than words can say. We don't get too see him as often as we would like. With gas and the great distance between us it seems like when there is a birthday or funeral is when we get too visit. Crazy how that works. Would like to turn that around. Well hope you had a wonderful 80th Birthday Uncle Brady we love you.

Swimming

Summer Fun

Since we moved Taylor had been going threw withdrawal from her best friend Kamille. So we had her stay with us for three days. Felt so bad because we really didn't do a whole lot. But Wednesday, when Devin got off work. We went over too Kevin's place, by the way thank you Kevin and Patricia, and swam. They had a blast. I think we were there for about two hours and we had to fight them to get out of the water. Life when we were kids, that was the good old days.

Summer Break

Is there anyone else that is ready for school to start up again. My kids think that they are going to die. They just want too play xbox 360, watch TV, and sleep. Normally that would be okay but all the normal stuff like chores and helping mom doesn't seem to exist during the summer. Not going to handle that. Oh yea mom can only handle so many days in the pool. I am going to be a prune hahaha.

If anyone has some great free things to do to keep them entertained please I am all ears.

Fathers Day

Hope all the fathers out there had a great Fathers Day. Even though I didn't have a great mothers day. I tried to make Devin's a good one. We invited my in laws and my dad over for dinner. Everything went great. Thank goodness there was plenty of food and just a perfect amount of dessert. Always fear that there won't be enough food and they will go home hungry. Since we have 4 dads to buy stuff for it gets expensive so we just do dinner for three of them. I gets ocward with my dad and step dad, So we only have my dad. Well everything went great hope everyone else's was too.

Family Pictures

Wow Finally got it done. My brother is a professional photographer and a great one I might add. And as long as I can remember he has been taking mine and my family pics. When Devin and I first started dating he hated getting pics taken, but after the last 13 years, he is accepted the fact that my family is picture freaks.
We usually get new family pics every 6 months but since we had been living in Florence we haven't had any taken. Makes me so sad, Poor Daxton was neglected. We don't have hardly any of him as a baby.

Then picking out the outfits to match. That is really hard for all five kids and then for the parents to match. I guess I am just not very good at that part. I figured out we would do red shirts and black board shorts. Do like a summer theme. But couldn't find anything red for Aeden. Went to too many different stores just gave up and he has red shorts but sad part is they are hidden so he is the odd ball. Oh well he is still adorable. exceptionally with his hair hock, that is one hundred percent natural. CUTE CUTE.

Scary Day

Well, let me just tell you today was one of those days when I really wish Devin had called in sick for work. As many of you probably don't know I am a panickier, if that is even a word. I don't think when there is a scary situation I just panic. Well today was one of those days, The kids were playing games inside all day and then we had to leave to go get Abbi, Taylor's friend. And all of the sudden, Taylor said she felt like she was gonna throw up, so in a rushed mood I said hurry up and get too the bathroom. When I was all done loading the kids up in the car I went too check on her. She looked really pail, but had not thrown up. So told her too get a bowl (thinking that she was faking it, bad mom) and go get in the car. We went to get in and all of the sudden I looked at her and she fainted. I caught her. And just screamed. Thank goodness my neighbor had just pulled up and I yelled at her to call 911. She ran into her house and did, thank goodness. It was a nice way to meet my neighbors. A friendly hey I need help already. HHAHAHA. She then woke up and was coherent, and then proceeded to throw up. Thank goodness for the bowl.

Well she is OK the paramedics came and checked her out and said that they thought she was just dehydrated. So we have been keeping her inside and drinking lots of fluids. I told her to never do that again. Exceptionally when dad isn't home. The joys of being parents. We are given trials for a reason but let me tell you. They just keep getting harder and harder as we get older. But we learn from them. Hopefully???????????
