All five at dinner thought it was a cute shot. Love our babies.

Boys fighting over who is gonna open PJ's AEDEN won. LOL

Well, this year has come and gone. Holly COW!!!!!!!!! Well a little update I have been super busy at my job developing pictures off the Internet and needless to say Xmas is the busiest season of all. Everyone is ordering their Xmas cards. When returning to work I received a promotion without the raise or the title. More or less just the nice thing to do and help where I am needed. So I was overseeing the greeting card packagers. And needless to say Thank goodness for awesome temps. They all did an amazing job at helping us get the cards out as fast as we could. We still were two days behind even some days three, But your hands and brain can only move or function as fast as we let them. We all were working seven days a week and 9 to 10 hr days. I unfortunately had a few days off in there but due to my teeth, and unfortunately with the holiday season the dentist is unable to finish the work until January. But life will continue asap.

We, had our annual Thompson/Banks family Xmas party and we had Santa's elf this year to pass out gifts and their annual ornaments. We left early due to the amount of pain I was in and had to take my drugs and they make me loopiand tired. LOL, but thanks Mom and Skip for the precious Memories that I know our kids love and look forward too.
Then we went to the Harris Family Xmas Party. In laws made dinner for everyone, YUMMY and then shared wonderful memories from when their boys were younger, Real tear jerker. Yea I know I am a softy. Then had our white elephant gift exchange. Sorry frank the purse was meant for the girls. But it defiantly is your color. HAHAHAHA. And we handed out our hand made gifts to everyone. This year they all got a calender of the new family pics. I wish I had made it earlier much easier than I thought it would be.
Then Xmas eve we had my parents, Devin parents, and my dad and his friend over for dinner and presents. Was a night we all enjoyed and hope to do again next year always better the more people you have over.
Xmas day was a 7:30 am start and by 10 am Mom was ready for a nap. Was a lot better than I expected four out of five kids were happy and satisfied. Was small but think that we did OK. They only get 3 gifts this year but we had a secret Santa drop off gifts for the whole family. Wow lets just say I was in such aw that someone first could afford to give gifts for a family of 7 on top of their family and lets just say they weren't cheap. Kids LOVED all of them. Well we all did and were so grateful that people were thinking of our family. One year I would love to repay the favor and help when needed. One year our time will come.
Well hope that everyone had a Wonderful Holiday Season and Safe and Happy New Year.

Update on Devin

Well, He finally has started his Physical therapy, Last month. And doesn't seem to be doing anything. He has found out that two of his cousins about the same age as he is also has the same problems that he has and one of them has decided to do the surgery and seems to be doing great from what we have heard. So we are basically waiting for his Neurologist and the Pain management Dr. to give the OK for surgery. He is still in a lot of pain and ready to get back into the swing of things with our family. He is such an amazing husband and father and we all miss him being physically active with our family. I know that he is dieing inside that he can't do more with us. But we would rather him not do the physical stuff and be with us longer and healthier. Good luck babe and you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Family Pictures

Well, We finally got the entire Harris Family together at once. Crazy since there is only 3 boys but hard when everyone has lives and very busy one's right now.

I do want to Thank Jason Lambert a life long great friend. He took the time out of his busy schedule and even missed the opportunity to meet Luis Gonzales, to take our pictures. (Very crazy Lambert can't believe you didn't reschedule our pics to see him) We don't have them back yet he is doing his magic with paint to take away our flaws. LOL

With 7 adults and 11 kids ranging from 2 up to 17. Jason sure had his hands and eyes full. He said to Devin and I when he first arrived said, "Ok you are all on Daycare duty and I will just make sure and get the shots", we all just laughed and said ok that sounds like a great plan. And he did just that, He had the most creative ideas and well I guess that is why he gets behind the camera and does what he does and we don't do it. LOL

We had a wonderful time and so greatful for the memories that were made and so looking forward to the end result. They will be posted soon. Thanks again Lambert we love you and your family.

Calvin 5th Grade Field Trip

I had the honor of accompanying Calvin on a Field Trip to the Halle Heart Center. It was very educational, and the kids for the most part all paid attention and learned a lot from it.

Boys Bday Party

Friends and family Enjoy

Friends and Family

Make a wish and BLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy #7 Tayton

Tayton and friend from school.
We have to watch those two. LOL

Cup Cake time

Happy #4 Daxton

Macy and Daxton

Well since money is tight we decided to combine the boys bday party this year. Plus Our kids only get friend parties every other year once they turn 7. So this was Taytons year for a family party.
We did the cupcake cake this year so much easier. And put 7 candles on one side for Tayton and four on the other for Daxton. Fun watching them try and only blow out their own candles. LOL was a blast. We went too my mom's neighborhood park and did a simple but fun party. We had a BBQ and cake and presents. Lots of kids running and playing. Great too see so much family and friends get together for dinner and fun.
The boys had a great time and are loving their presents. Well Daxton is, Tayton is still at school and can't wait too come home to play with everything. He is gonna have a hard time deciding what to play with first.

Devin recent dr apt.

Well, Lets just say No we don't have any good news, Dang It!!!!!!!!

Ok, he went too the neurologist and they did a test on his left leg nerves. Don't really know the details (not very good at the technical stuff) but they used electric waves to see how his nerves respond. He said it was very painful. But, now he has to take some medicine for a month and then go back for more tests to see if the medicine worked at all.

Then, he also went in for his second round of cortisone shots, Guess they call them epidural shots. But lets just say they are nothing like when you are having a baby and getting an epidural. Much more pain when having a baby. Anyways, he said it was very painful and the nurses said that was a good sign. Means that they actually got the medicine in his nerves to do there job. We all thought that it was gonna work, the first day was really bad, then the second felt so much better, same as the third then the fourth was back to being horrible. We all were really hoping he would be able to feel comfort for a lot longer than two days. So guess we are hoping that the last set of shots works longer than the two days. But we have to wait another week too see. Will keep you posted. Thanks

FHE Carving Pumpkins 2009

Well we went too the boys Conferences for school and they had amazing grades, well not honor roll but C's or better. So went to celebrate. Then came home and let the kids carve their own pumpkins. Yes, Dad wasn't thrilled about it because not close enough to Halloween. But oh well. Here are their finished projects. Devin's Parents joined us in the fun. And thank goodness they did because I wouldn't have been able too cut all those pumpkins alone. Little one's used the Mr. Pumpkin Head's to help make their's creative. They were a huge hit with me. LOL
P.S. it has only been 3 days and yes the pumpkins are having a sad time in life. Guess dad knows what he is talking about. LOL. Still wouldn't of listened. HAHAHA

Update on Devin

K for those who have been following along. Devin went to his Pain Management Dr. and they gave him his first round of Cortisone shots in his hip. They can take up to two days to take full effect but yep didn't work at all. So in two weeks goes for his next round of shots. That same day he went in to the Neurologist and he is going to do a nerve study on his back and left leg. That will be part of the determining factor if he will need surgery or not. (Pray the not side). So needless to say he is still in lots of pain, and trying to be somewhat durable with the kids. We love you baby and hope to have you back soon.

Another ER visit.

Well lets just say they are going to know us by first name basis. Well another night of time sitting in the waiting room.

We thought that our kids were playing a little too quiet so asked Calvin to check on them. Of course they are fine they are just playing. Well not really they are all teaching Aeden how to jump off the bunk beds. Well lets just say he jumped the wrong direction. He jumped back wards and hit the corner post. And gashed open his head. Pics can be a little disturbing if you have a week tummy beware/ Of course he is tough and fine and was trying the next day to do it again. Man I don't know what we are going to do with this one. LOL. Well all of them have had their adventurous moments. And they never seem to learn from their accidents. LOL

Few Fun Activities

Since Taylor has started Jr. High she had her first Band concert. So we all ventured over to her school and supported our big girl.
These are just some random shots of that night. Her with friends and after photos of family and Devin's in laws.

Our family Photo. Love timers. Have to be very creative to get hese kind of shots. LOL

Learned how to say Cheese and gets so excited when camera is around so addorble.

Love you babe.

Well, since I have been home with kids and not much money to do anything with. So since I have wonderful in laws and they have a house up north we decided to surprise the kids and travel up there for the week. It was so nice to get away and try to forget about the stressful time. I know that the kids ALL loved the get away. They were all able to play outside and enjoy all their time. Plus get a chance to hang out with their cousins. Since it was nice and windy I wasn't much of the outdoors woman. I didn't get much of the kids but wish I did.

On our way home we decided to stop off at the the Kohl's Ranch Campground and took the kids on a light and not long enough hike for them. but too long for Devin. He was so sad since he couldn't get right out there and play with the kids in the yard up north. But was grateful for the hike with the family. We all enjoyed it. Looks like I need to get back into shape was really hard hiking with a two yr old fat man LOL on my shoulders. But lets just say I am a trooper. LOL.

It was really nice to be home and in our nice cozy beds.

Pool Fun. Fawn trying to keep all the kids on the raft. Wasn't very easy but lots of fun.

Well, I can't believe it has been so long since I have posted on here. This was a daily thing up until 6 months ago. Lets just say how much life has changed in only 6 months. I will try and keep it short bear with me. LOL

Devin, He is still finishing his education FULL TIME now. Very stressful I may say. Been involved now for the past year and this semester especially has gotten difficult. He is taking on of the most difficult classes for his line of Education. But he went from making an F to now a middle C which at the middle of the semester didn't even look possible to him. But after redirecting his thoughts and mind set. He has amazingly brought it up and we are all so proud of him. Also, Labor day morning he woke up with a back pain that has never gone away. Tried Chiropractor and many Dr appointments. And after an MRI has come to find out that he has a degenerated Disk, plus Arthritis in his back. So, after daily, nightly and midday pain. He hasn't been able to function much. While taking care of kids full time, School full time, and pain he has some how survived. He is such a trooper.

Fawn(me) went from working full time at an awesome company to two weeks ago having to quit and help take care of the kids and taxi Devin around to many Dr. appointments. I now am part time working and full time stresser LOL. But, I am so much happier back to being the full time care taker of this family. Can become overwhelming having to basically do everything. I am loving the challenge and hoping and praying that Devin will be able to get better sooner than later very hard seeing him in all this pain. Not a fun site. I look at people who have been married for as long as we have and go from a normal happy healthy life to having an injury or illness turn their lives up side down. But I have learned that with our family and marriage it has made us closer than I could ever imagine.

Taylor is now in Jr. High same one Devin and I went too. Scary, We have a Jr higher. LOL. She is about two feet smaller than all her classmates LOL but the cutest one out of them all. Everyone tells her how much they want to squeeze her and carry her around. But, she definitely can hold her own. She is a little pistol when she has to be. She also is loving that she is in YW's and looks forward to her Wednesday night activities. Crazy how fast they grow and mature, Being the only girl she thinks that she has to be the boys mom but I am always here to remind her be a kid and enjoy life. She is an amazing help to this family and know that we couldn't do it without her.

Calvin, has just started 5Th grade and growing slowly everyday. He is so much stronger Physically (yeah) and mentally. He is the little comedian (just like his Father and Grandpa's) He is always the one who can make you smile. He always knows what too say when you are down or just basically ready to pop. He can recite any movie quote and make you bust up laughing and pee your pants. LOL. He is Having to learn how to step up and help with his little brothers now that Taylor isn't always home, Due to school and Yw's. He has been really challenged since his little brothers weigh almost the same as he does, but he is always trying to help out where he can. Thanks Bubba.

Tayton, He is now in 1st grade and loving it. He is Mr shy now. Yes I said shy. Can you believe that MR. BULLY now Mr. Shy. He is the cutest kid ever. He has girls chasing him left and right at school but he gets so nervous around them. Says hi then runs or hides. LOL We love it. Older ones love to tease him "Is that your Girlfriend". We love it more than ever. He has been struggling with his reading but once we sat him down and told him all he needs to do is focus and lots of practice he will improve more than ever. And since he started school he has gotten 100% on all his spelling tests except two. WOW that is awesome. He is also challenging Calvin to do the same. What an inspiration too his siblings.

Daxton, He is turning 4 next month and won't stop talking about it. When where when where over and over. He was recently discharged from his Special Ed Preschool for speech. They said that he was over qualified. WOW never thought we would here that. But, yes he won't stop talking. We have to look at him and say "Daxton Focus on not talking, My ears can only handle so many questions in one minute." LOL but so grateful he is back on track with his talking. On his last day he went around to all of his class mates and gave everyone a huge and said bye. Teacher said it was an emotional day. They all four will miss him dearly he was such a great help with the other students in his class. Their disabilities range from speech to down syndrome to autism. So he will be greatly missed indeed. But, Mom and dad are loving that he is home all day long with Aeden to keep him entertained. They are so cute together.
Aeden, He just turned 2 and the world still revolves around him. LOL He is started to talk well say a few words but the ones he knows are so cute to hear him say. He is still so little but he has to be right up there with the older kids. No fun to big for him. He is always wanting to help mom clean or cook just has to be where all the action is. Just don't pick up the car keys or say lets go and not take him or all H---!!!!!!! will break loose. He is afraid he will miss something if he gets left behind. Recently, he burnt his whole little hand on our friends quad. Second degree burns, Amazing how they just bounce back up and not even flinch. We had to take him to Maricopa County Medical Burn Unit. Well lets just say when my mom and I left there we were so humbles by that experience seeing all the sad faces and tearful eyes, I was so grateful to only have this amount of damage to our baby. Some families have been there months and some don't leave. It has been sad to see him grow, due to the fact that he is the last Harris till we get grand kids but PLEASE let that be twenty years from now. LOL. Love the baby stage and know that we are almost out of that and not sure how I am going to handle it.

These are just a few pics we took recently. Thanks hope all your families are doing well and surviving in the horrible economy.
Well the Harris household has been full of adventure lately, But know that is can get more stressful so we just take one journey at a time. And Mom tries not too stress out too much. Dad has to remind me that we will survive we always do. And kids have to remember mom loves them and is sorry for her moments. LOL
